MOTHER INDIA

India, thy name in red letters
Evokes in me pride and admiration.
Great you are, great your love is
Tender, meek and calm thy nature.
Bore you great sons, with reverence I say.
India, your name enables me
to surmount the barriers of destruction.
Great you are, for you suffered
the wilderness of aliens.
Mahatma, the great asset of you
brought you liberty and veneration.
India, my mother, my Divine,
How can I describe this beauty?
My words are vague, I fold my hands,
bow my head and prostrate....
India, you are my pride, my Holiness,
thy care, love,
creates in me strength.
You are my mother, my hope.
When I cried, you patted me.
Your love quenched my thirst.
Your milk of love, really I enjoyed,
blissfully I sucked.
Your thoughts removes the penury of my heart.
Oh, my mother, my Divine, my Goodness
and my greatness, I love you.
Proud am I, as your daughter.
Ready am I, for your service.
My words are vague, I fold my hands,
bow my head and prostrate....
